Boosting business as an Infinitev Authorised Fitter
Christchurch business AutoEase Car Care has improved its EV and hybrid offering, with advantages that can benefit other workshops, by becoming an Infinitev Authorised Fitter

AutoEase Car Care is a relatively new Christchurch-based workshop, having been in operation for three and a half years, with a broad service offering that includes diagnostics, repairs, and servicing. The workshop has experienced staff with over 20 years combined industry experience, and a commitment to customer satisfaction that’s reflected in clear communication and warranty-backed services. Recently, to boost their hybrid battery replacement offering, they joined Infinitev's Authorised Fitter programme, which provides workshops with increased business leads through customer referrals, technical support, quality aftermarket replacement batteries, and enhanced credibility as a specialist in hybrid and EV battery solutions.
Joining the programme was a strategic step towards increasing AutoEase’s capabilities in the hybrid and EV servicing space, according to Matthew Pullan, managing director of AutoEase Car Care. "With us currently replacing hybrid batteries for warranty companies and our experience in the dealership environment, it was a great opportunity to grow our business and reach more customers,” Matthew explains.
Experiencing tangible growth
Since joining the programme, AutoEase has noticed an impact on their business growth and customer satisfaction. Of the expanded reach, Matthew says, "We are seeing customers from outside our immediate area finding us and becoming long-term repeat customers. They say that they find it difficult to find a workshop that understands these vehicles and that is able to advise and meet their needs.” This increase in both first-time and repeat business reflects the programme providing referral leads for workshops while assisting to position them as go-to service providers in their region.
Efficiency through innovation
A standout feature of Infinitev replacement batteries is their 'Long Pack' design, which offers a plug-and-play solution that simplifies hybrid EV battery installation by integrating essential components. This design makes the process faster and safer for technicians, and provides an additional customer benefit in that the additional components are covered by the battery warranty. Of AutoEase’s experience with the product, Matthew says, "We are seeing a decrease in installation times as we do not have to swap over the hardware. And as these components also fall under warranty, it provides an additional assurance to the customer. The way they are packaged and transported also makes the process easier, as it’s quick to remove and resecure the old battery for freight back to Infinitev.”
Highlighting quality and affordability
The affordability and quality of Infinitev’s batteries, which are backed by a three-year / 200,000km warranty, have positively impacted customer perceptions and satisfaction. AutoEase has observed an absence of warranty claims and an appreciable response from customers regarding the cost-effective replacements. As Matthew points out, “Customers do like the affordability of the replacements, as most often they are expecting almost double the cost.”
Strengthening market position
The marketing support from Infinitev has also been beneficial for AutoEase, helping position the workshop as a specialised service provider in the hybrid and EV market. Direct referrals and engagement from Infinitev have enhanced AutoEase's visibility and credibility in this niche market. “We get referrals from Infinitev and also customers who have been discussing options with them, and they contact us directly,” Matthew says.
A partnership that pays off
Infinitev’s technical support provides prompt and efficient resolution to requests, to ensure minimal disruption to workshop partner operations, with Matthew noting, “We had an issue once with a voltage regulator in a supplied battery not functioning correctly. Infinitev compensated us for the lost time by offering free freight on the next battery. No arguments or excuses, just fast, efficient resolution.” AutoEase's experience demonstrates Infinitev's commitment to supporting its authorised fitters efficiently and fairly, aiming to build relationships based on trust and mutual benefit.
A call to action for workshops
AutoEase’s advice to other workshops considering the Infinitev Authorised Fitter programme is unequivocal, highlighting the genuine opportunity for growth and the supportive company culture at Infinitev. Infinitev's programme opens doors to new business avenues and provides comprehensive support, from technical assistance to marketing, helping workshops like AutoEase Car Care to be equipped to meet the demands of shifting towards hybrid and EV servicing. As Matthew says, “It is worth your time to become an installer; Infinitev is a great company to deal with and will help you grow your business if hybrid and EV vehicles are something you are equipped to work on.”
