Infinitev officially launches to industry, media and government

IM Group officially launched its latest initiative branded Infinitev at its headquarters in Hallam, Victoria.

Infinitev is driven to create a circular economy for electric vehicle batteries. The brand envisions a world where a hybrid or EV battery is reused, repurposed, and recycled infinitely.

In attendance were representatives from the Australian Automotive Aftermarket Association, vehicle OEMs, media, the recycling sector and Sustainability Victoria.

Dickson Leow, General Manager for Infinitev, then addressed the audience, introducing Infinitev and its vision with a powerful 3 minute video highlighting the rapidly changing world we are experiencing regarding mobility and the role society needs to play to ensure a more sustainable future.

Dickson reinforced that "hybrid and electric vehicles are fast becoming the standard for energy-efficient travel. Powered by cutting-edge battery technology, these climate-conscious vehicles are driving us to a greener future. But what happens when one of these advanced batteries stops functioning properly or is no longer fit for the road?"

Dickson LeowEnter Infinitev, which partners with the automotive industry to get the most out of hybrid and electric vehicle batteries. Infinitev's advanced grading technology diagnoses the cause of battery failure and then determines the next-best use of the battery pack and its components:

● Reuse: remanufacturing battery packs for use in a vehicle
● Repurpose: giving batteries a second life in a battery energy storage systems
● Recycle: recovering valuable materials from end-of-life batteries

 Infinitev reuse repurpose recycle

The Infinitev launch concluded with a media scrum and walk through tour of the IM Group facility in Hallam.

About Infinitev

We  envision a world where an EV battery is borrowed by multiple users along its life. Reused, repurposed and recycle infinitely.

Our vision is simple. Electric vehicles and battery storage are at the centre of the world meeting its climate targets. But the environmental impact of battery production and disposal is costly. Infinitev, supported by our cutting edge R&D, is building the capability to ensure this environmental impact is minimised.

We know automotive technology - we have been remanufacturing and repairing complex electronic components for over 40 years. Today, we are leading the hybrid battery circular economy in Australia. We have built this capability to create world class expertise in EV batteries.

Infinitev is built on forty years' experience in the automotive sustainable manufacturing industry in Australia and New Zealand. Our sister company Injectronics is the leading remanufacturer of automotive electronics like engine control units, anti-lock braking systems, and body control modules - these are all the small computers that make a modern car work. Our parent, Innovative Mechatronics Group, has a rich history of innovation in the automotive circular economy. So it only makes sense for us to take this knowledge to the future of mobility: hybrid and electric vehicles.
