Autonomous vehicles, wireless charging and more

Robo taxis, EVTOLs, wireless charging, and more. The future of mobility is under development in Detroit, Michigan. Here's what we've seen that you may like:

mCity

Located on UM's Ann Arbor campus, mCity is an advanced mobility research centre brining together academia, government and industry. It's a place where all stakeholders can openly debate and test autonomous and connected vehicle systems.

American Center for Mobility

500 acres of vehicle automation research and a federally designated AV proving ground. A place where CAV technologies, private 5G networks, and cloud services for high-volume data transfer come together. And where pictures are not allowed...

Detroit Smart Parking Lab

This open innovation site enables real-world testing of parking-related mobility technologies, logistics and wireless EV charging. It doesn't make a whole lot of sense to have a human plug in a charging cable for a car that can park itself, so there is plenty of wireless, or inductive, charging being trialled here.
